- Our collective response from the TiE community in Dallas to the India Covid relief efforts has been noteworthy. While it is difficult to gauge the exact figures, suffice it to say it would easily include cash over $100K and contributions in kind such as masks (in the 1000s), O2 cylinders (in the 100s), and other supplies. The recipients are obviously deeply grateful. TiE, as an organization, has demonstrated a significant impact in philanthropy globally.
- We have had a great run with our programs (while we may have covered this in other messages, it is worth repeating in this summary). Thanks to the respective Chairs of these programs! More specifically,
- The TiE University Global Finals was held on 5/15/21 and our representation SURVIVR (Brian Hoang) came 2nd globally. A proud achievement for us! Read this coverage for more details.
- We concluded the 9th year of the local TYE program for high schoolers on 5/23/21 and got a chance to see an amazing display of ideas and presentations. Coverage will be available on our site soon. The winning team, Greensense, will be representing Dallas at the upcoming global event on the weekend of June 18-19. - We have several applicants for the TiE Women Dallas program, which will be conducted in mid-August. The application deadline is June 15th. Hurry up and register now!
- TiE Dallas Angels has been formalized and is expected to increase our deal flow and investments! More on this soon.
- With all this action on our programs, (refer to the TiE Dallas Summary Deck – May 2021– PDF version for a summary), we are now partnering with various corporates and community organizations for synergies and to further expand our plans. Towards this objective, CM Manish Singla has taken on the role of Chair of Corporate Sponsorships for us.
