Message From the President

HELLO EVERYONE, Hope you all have all had a great start to the new year, with the first month already behind us! We have been meaning to bring to you a summary of 2021 and am glad we were able to finally put it together. 2021 has been a great year for TiE Dallas. Our membership has grown significantly. All our programs – TYE, TiE University, TiE Women, and TiE Angels are in full swing. We have actively collaborated with other chapters in the US and overseas and with other organizations in town. We are having an impact!. We are thankful to our Members, Charter Members, Program leaders, Speakers, Volunteers, and others for their active engagement, participation, and support. Check out some of the 2021 highlights below. The future for TiE Dallas is bright and plans are in place for another great year ahead. PROGRAMS

The TiE University Global Finals was held on 5/15/21 and our representation SURVIVR (Brian Hoang) came 2^nd globally. A proud achievement for us! Read this coverage for more details.

We concluded the 9^th year of the local TYE program for high schoolers on 5/23/21 and got a chance to see an amazing display of ideas and presentations. Coverage will be available on our site soon. The winning team, Greensense, will be representing Dallas at the upcoming global event on the weekend of June 18-19.

Veena Somaredd y founder of Neurorehab VR was the winner of TiE Dallas 2021 Women’s pitch competition and went on to compete in Dubai at the global finals.

As many of you know, we launched TiE Dallas Angels (TDA) in its current format in July 2021. I am happy to report that we have made SIGNIFICANT progress as a group in the past six months since the launch. Our initial target was to have 20 members and have four companies pitch to us by the end of the year; we far exceeded those goals. We are at 31 members now, and we had ten companies present to us during four-pitch days. We have a very cohesive Angel group where the members support, respect, and learn from one another. Our TDA Core Team (all volunteers) has worked tirelessly to bring this high-quality program to members. We are excited about taking TDA to greater heights in 2022!
