TiE Tuesday Summary and Recording

Thank you for joining us for our Virtual TiE Tuesday! I hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did. It was a great first virtual event for us. Frank Selker and Kanth Gopalpur talked about their urgent need for a contract a manufacturer in the Dallas area that could quickly ramp up the production of ventilators (for the current situation across the country) – involving common, low-tech fabrication methods (injection molding, welding). They are currently based in Oregon. If you  or anyone you know of can help with this critical need please contact one of us. Thomas John, our virtual host, talked about his company and the services it offers. Calpion has been in business for 15 years and operates globally, offering robotic process automation solutions in Healthcare. Sandhya Padala’s was one of the two pitches at the event. She started Rex Programming for her children as she couldn’t find that kind of program anywhere. Today, Sandhya is running Rex for kids K-12 grade, catering to individuals, schools and soon to the YMCA’s. She is raising capital for growing the company to the next level. The second pitch was from Veer Mehta who is the founder of and runs Halo Health, a company offering alternative clinical trials solutions through a platform and also looking for the next round. We then had Vijay Menon,  Executive Director, TiE Global address the group and describe the various initiatives happening globally across the 61 chapters, what TiE is doing in the current situation, the opportunities for us to connect with any of the 15000 members around the world. Vijay encouraged everyone to use all the tools and services TiE Global has to offer at hub.tie.org. We concluded the event with some networking albeit in ‘virtual’ style. We intend to conduct more such events in the weeks to come, so stay tuned. If you have ideas for topics please, contact Ram Viswanathan at ram@nathanresearch.com or Sophie at clement@clementstressalternative.com. Meanwhile here is a link to the recording of the event HERE Stay safe and healthy! Thank you, Regards, TiE Dallas Team
