On February 3, 2019 we are kicking off the 7th year of TYE Dallas – The Young Entrepreneur Program.
TYE is aimed at coaching high schoolers about the basics of entrepreneurship . The classes will meet at UTD from 1-3pm on Sunday afternoons beginning February 3rd. We welcome students who are interested in learning from a panel of experts, mentors and coaches. If you know of students in high school who have not been part of TYE before and can benefit from such a program, please share this information with them/ their parents. What is TYE?
TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) is TiE Global’s International Youth Program, aimed towards the future generation of entrepreneurs. TYE focuses on teaching entrepreneurship to young people and helping them discover the rewards and challenges of becoming an entrepreneur.§ Offer a business education program, geared toward inspiring young students to be entrepreneurs through mentor-based workshops, taught by established industry leaders, who foster innovation, leadership skills, creativity and self-confidence.
§ Offer a business plan competition with cash prizes at the regional level, which is the culmination of the student education program.
§ Students who win their local business plan competition have an opportunity to win a GRAND PRIZE of $10,000 in the Global Competition.
Program Details:
Approximately 25 students will be selected to participate in a collaborative, team oriented environment. The sessions are conducted by seasoned entrepreneurs and experienced professionals based in DFW. We are in the seventh year of the program in 2019 which will be conducted between Feb and May 2019. The first program was conducted in the Fall of 2012, with a regional competition in Nov 2012. The winners from Dallas have competed in TYE Globals for several years in a row and won prizes at the TYE Global level too.
The TYE 2019 Program Schedule:
The 2019 Program will start on February 3rd and run through May 2019, with sessions every Sunday between 1 and 3 pm at UT Dallas, 800, W. Campbell Rd, Richardson, TX, 75080.
